The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Navratna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, has invited online applications for 327 posts in its Central Warehousing Corporation recruitment 2026. CWC Assistant Manager Civil Eligibility
- Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in civil engineering from a recognised university or institution. You must hold the final mark sheet or certificate by 15 November 2026. Final-year and final-semester students are not eligible.
- Experience: none required.
- Marks: if your university gives CGPA, convert it to a percentage on the form and keep the conversion certificate.
- Nationality: Indian citizens, plus citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, certain Tibetan refugees and persons of Indian origin from listed countries who hold a Government of India eligibility certificate.
- Category rules: OBC candidates need a non-creamy-layer certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026 and no later than 15 November 2026. EWS candidates need the prescribed income and asset certificate.
CWC Recruitment Age Limit
The maximum age is 28 years for unreserved candidates on 15 November 2026, which means born between 16 November 1998 and 15 November 2008. The minimum is 18. Relaxation in the upper limit is 5 years for SC and ST, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), 10 years for persons with benchmark disabilities, and 5 years for ex-servicemen and a few other groups. SC, ST and OBC relaxation adds on top of the others, but the total cannot exceed 55 years. Regular CWC employees can apply with relaxation if they have at least 5 years of service left.
CWC Exam Pattern for Assistant Manager (Civil)
The online test has six separately timed sections and takes 3 hours in total. It has 202 questions and 230 marks, and every wrong answer in an objective section costs one-fourth of that question's marks. Blank answers carry no penalty.

To be shortlisted you need a minimum score in each section and in total. The minimum in the professional section and in the descriptive test is 40% for unreserved candidates and 35% for OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen. If the test is held in several sessions, scores are normalised by the equi-percentile method.

The general sections (reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English and general awareness) follow standard aptitude topics. For practice, GATE-level civil questions cover most of the technical areas above.
CWC Selection Process
For Assistant Manager posts the process is the online test, then document verification and interview, both held in Delhi. CWC calls up to 5 candidates per post (a 1:5 ratio) in order of merit. The interview carries 30 marks, and the minimum is 50% for unreserved and EWS candidates, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen. The final merit uses the online test and interview in the ratio 85:15. Ties are broken by age, with the older candidate first. CWC may keep a wait list of up to 100% of vacancies in each category. Selected candidates must sign a bond of Rs. 1,00,000 to serve for at least two years.
CWC Assistant Manager Salary
The pay scale is Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 (IDA scale E-1), with other allowances and perks as per CWC policy. Employees are also entitled to benefits such as contributory pension, CPF, gratuity, leave travel concession, performance-related pay and medical reimbursement as per the Corporation's rules.
